BCSO Detectives Seek Potential Victims of Sex Crimes Suspect

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Detectives from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) have been investigating multiple sex crime cases related to 45-year-old Paul Raymond Gellatly, of Philomath.

The initial investigation began in February of 2024, when BCSO received a tip that Gellatly committed sexual abuse to an unrelated minor child, as recently as the end of 2023. During the course of this investigation, detectives developed probable cause for his arrest.

On February 23, 2024, deputies located and arrested Gellatly at his home in Philomath for the crime of Sex Abuse in the second degree. Gellatly was lodged at the Benton County Jail and was released the next day after an initial appearance in court.

During follow-up investigations, other potential victims and witnesses were identified. BCSO believes Gellatly may have other victims that have not made reports to law enforcement.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone with criminal information about Gellatly, regardless of the length of time it has been. Contact the BCSO tip line at 541-753-TIPS (8477) or email BentonCoSheriff@bentoncountyor.gov.
