Patrol

Benton County marked black patrol SUV

Overview

Patrol Deputies with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office serve as first responders to emergency and critical incidents. They actively identify criminal activity, make arrests, and begin investigations. In addition, they enforce traffic laws, respond to civil emergencies, and prepare cases for criminal prosecution. Because they often arrive first on scene, they make quick decisions that protect lives and property.

Daily Operations

Deputies patrol the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As a result, they maintain a constant presence to ensure public safety. During each shift, typically three to four Deputies remain on duty. They respond to calls for service, monitor ongoing situations, and support one another as needed. Furthermore, they stay alert to changing conditions so they can respond quickly and effectively.

Work Schedule and Responsibilities

Deputies follow structured shifts; however, their responsibilities often extend beyond scheduled hours. For example, they may report to court on their days off or during rest periods. They may also respond to large-scale emergencies when additional support is required. Therefore, Deputies remain flexible and ready to serve at any time. This commitment ensures consistent service and rapid response for the community.
