Patch Collecting
Patch Collecting

A 17-year-old Corvallis High School student designed the Benton County Sheriff’s Office patch in 1985 through a design contest. The patch features Marys Peak in the background and the historic Benton County Courthouse in the foreground.
For Private Display Only
We offer patches for private display only. Do not wear them on clothing.
Oregon law classifies Impersonating a Peace Officer as a felony. Specifically, this includes wearing a law enforcement uniform. A uniform includes clothing bearing words such as “police,” “sheriff,” “state trooper,” or “law enforcement.” It also includes clothing that closely resembles an official uniform.
Therefore, collectors must keep patches for display purposes and must not wear them.
