Benton County Emergency Operations Plan (EOP)

The Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) is a document that describes how Benton County plans to organize and respond to emergencies and disasters in the community.

No plan can anticipate all the situations and conditions that may arise during an emergency. But having a plan that provides general guidance and a common framework is imperative. The Benton County EOP is an all-hazards plan that provides that guidance.

Through this EOP, the County designates the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS) as the framework within which all emergency management activities will be conducted. The EOP is designed to address those emergency incidents or events whose size or complexity is beyond that normally handled by routine operations.
