Often a Patrol Deputy is the first responder to the scene of a death. That death may be by natural causes, accident, suicide, or homicide. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office works closely with the County Medical Examiner to gather the information the Medical Examiner needs to accurately certify the manner and cause of death.
Any death is traumatic for the deceased’s family and friends but can be particularly difficult if it is a death requiring investigation.
