Benton County Emergency Management Volunteer Corps
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management Division offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities in both non-emergency, and emergency and disaster response. Through the Volunteer Corps, Emergency Management will maintain a group of trained and equipped volunteers capable of safely running emergency disaster response operations, and community emergency readiness training and engagement. This group can be activated by the Sheriff, Emergency Management Division Personnel, and the Benton Operational Area Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Command Staff to perform needed EOC response activities.
- Emergency Readiness Training for Individuals and Neighborhoods:
- Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training- Become a CERT Instructor, or participate in CERT skills checks
- Be 2 Weeks Ready (B2WR)– Become a Program Coordinator, and help the Benton County community prepare for disaster!

To apply to become a volunteer, fill out the Volunteer Packet and return it to emergencymanagement@bentoncountyor.gov. After we have reviewed the application and the background check has cleared, we will be in touch for an interview.
