Auxiliary Team

Volunteering with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office Auxiliary Team gives you the chance to support your Sheriff’s Office in meaningful ways. You might assist with community outreach, an administrative project, or other tasks where your skills and interests meet a Sheriff’s Office need.

Auxiliary Team members do not engage in active law enforcement activities. They are not a substitute for fully trained and certified Deputies. Instead, they stretch resources by filling a vital supportive role.

Ready to apply? Complete and submit a Benton County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Volunteer Application form.

Activities

Auxiliary Team members contribute in many ways. Duties have included, but are not limited to:

  • Setting up the speed trailer and conducting speed surveys
  • Staffing the Drug Take Back event
  • Scanning booking files
  • Conducting customer service surveys
  • Distributing BCSO Annual Reports
  • Helping coordinate the Sheriff’s Office Citizens’ Academy
  • Supporting crime prevention programs
  • And much more!
