Chili Cook Off

The Public Safety Chili Cook-Off is a community event that’s fun for the whole family and a great way to raise money for local programs!

The Cook Off is held the second Sunday of September at the Philomath Frolic Rodeo Grounds. Often, with more than 20 chilis to choose from, your low-cost entry fee is sure to fill your belly. Beer, wine, pop, and water are also available for purchase.

Emergency Services & Preparedness Fair

Outside the Cook Off, Benton County Emergency Management hosts the FREE “Emergency Preparedness & Services Fair” that includes displays, information, and activities related to preparing for emergencies. We invite local and state organizations that play a critical role in emergencies. Check out the boats, vehicles, and fun equipment that make responding to emergencies easier, and pick up some swag!
