Linn-Benton ALERT & the Everbridge Community Profile
Linn-Benton ALERT is the emergency notification system used by Benton and Linn Counties to warn residents of immediate or emerging threats and provide essential safety instructions when they matter most.
By creating an Everbridge Community Profile, you can add or remove subscriptions to as many alerting systems as you would like. To manage how Linn-Benton ALERT contacts you, click on the Linn-Benton ALERT subscription, and it will take you to your member portal where you can add multiple phone numbers or emails, and ensure you receive alerts on the devices you use every day—not just on a traditional landline.
The system is address-based, meaning alerts are sent to people who live, work, or have stored locations within the impacted area. Traditional landline numbers are automatically included, but mobile phones, emails, and additional contact methods must be added through your Everbridge Community Profile.
If you receive an alert, you may hear a computer-generated message. Do not hang up—listen to the message in full, as it may contain critical, time-sensitive information.
New sign up process
Linn-Benton ALERT uses Everbridge. To get started, create or access your Everbridge profile, then subscribe to Linn-Benton ALERT. You no longer need a username and password—just use the email address or phone number connected to your account and follow the prompts. If this is your first time signing up, follow the steps below.
Steps to sign up
- Select Manage Linn-Benton ALERT at the top of this page.
- You will be entering the Everbridge Community Profile web portal.
- Enter your email address or phone number
- Choose how you want to receive your verification code
- Enter the verification code (if you need to have it resent, select “Resend Code”)
- If prompted, enter your name and additional contact information to finish creating your account
- Accept the terms of use and privacy policy
- Verify your other contact method if the system asks you to do so
- Enter the verification code (if you need to have it resent, select “Resend Code”)
- Once you are in your Everbridge Profile, select “Add Subscriptions”
- Search for Linn-Benton ALERT, accept registration, and continue to the Linn-Benton ALERT member portal
- Complete your registration details. You may enter multiple addresses, such as home, work, school, etc. The system maps alerts to your physical address, so please enter a complete street address (no PO Boxes) and correct ZIP code when you sign up. If you want to receive alerts via text and phone call, you must select both SMS Text and Cell Phone options.
- Review your contact methods and save your profile
Why create an Everbridge Community Profile?
The Everbridge Community Profile is Oregon’s unified portal for OR-Alert. By creating a profile, you can:
- Sign up for alerts across different counties or jurisdictions in Oregon—all from the same account
- Manage subscription to alerting systems for multiple counties (to update alerting details, you must select the subscription, then update once you’ve entered the member portal).
Important:
If you block the system phone numbers, you will not receive alerts.

FAQs
During emergencies that may affect life safety, public safety officials will send alerts about imminent threats (e.g., evacuation notices, hazardous materials incidents, severe weather). Benton County may also send important non-life-safety messages—such as Red Flag Warnings or significant weather updates—via email.
Linn-Benton ALERT may be used for a variety of situations, including wildfire evacuations, flooding or dam incidents, hazardous materials spills, law enforcement emergencies, severe weather warnings, and, when appropriate, missing or endangered persons notices.

- A Watch means that there is potential for the event to occur. No action needs to be taken when watches are issued, however community members should keep up to date in case the Watch becomes a Warning.
- An Advisory means that the event is either imminent or occurring, however it is less severe than a Warning. The event is a public inconvenience and creates a general hazard.
- A Warning means that the event is either imminent or occurring. Community members should be prepared to take immediate protective action.
The Everbridge Community page is used to link other subscriptions you may have in other jurisdictions (e.g. Deschutes County, Marion County, Lincoln County, etc.). If you successfully log in to Everbridge Community, and it shows you are subscribed to Linn-Benton ALERT, then you have an account with us. If you click on the Linn-Benton ALERT subscription link, it will take you to your member portal with Benton County and you can change, edit, and confirm your contact information, contact methods, etc. from there.
You can get credible information from local public safety agency Facebook pages, including the Benton County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. You can also view information at the Benton County Sheriff’s Office website, which include media releases, and the Benton County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management “Stay Informed” webpage. Only incidents that involve Emergency Management will be shared on the “Stay Informed” page.
