Our best advice? If necessary, start small, start slow, but just start. Whatever level of preparedness you achieve today is more than you had yesterday!

Integrated FlashAlert is used by many local police and fire agencies, as well as schools and other community/government organizations to send emergency messages. You can register to receive news releases and emergency notification. You choose the agencies you wish to hear from. Register now.

The Benton County Road Department is dedicated to maintaining clear and safe county roads. To check on closures and updates or to report a problem or concern, click here.

Benton County Snow and Ice Route Prioritization

Benton County Sandbag Fill Stations

Benton County provides several filling station for the public. Empty bags can be found at the stations, or you can pick up bags at the Public Works yard. Bring your own shovel. Click here to view fill station locations.

Trip Check

Provided by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), Trip Check is a great tool to check your routes before you head out the door. Click here to check your route.

The Willamette Basin River and Dam Status

Prepared by the US Army Corps of Engineers, this map gives an up to date view of each river and dam level in the Willamette River Basin. Click here to view the map.

River Information and Forecasts

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) provides a 4-10 day trend forecast for local rivers. Click here to check on the Willamette River at Corvallis. Click here to check on the Mary’s River near Philomath.

Air Quality in Oregon

The Department of Environment Quality provides an up to date map of air quality throughout Oregon. Click here to view your local air quality index (AQI).

Oregon Wildfire Information

DISASTER MANAGEMENT OF MEDICAL DEVICES

Pacific Power- Medical Baseline Program– assistance program for residential customers who may have additional energy needs related to qualifying medical conditions.

The Oregon Health Authority offers an Air Conditioner and Air Filter Deployment Program to help people who are currently or have recently become eligible for medical assistance. Apply to receive an air conditioning unit or an air filtration device to get you through those extreme heat and smoke filled days. Click here for more information.
