Marys Peak Search and Rescue

Welcome to the Marys Peak Search and Rescue (MPSAR) information page.

Purpose

Marys Peak Search and Rescue volunteers provide search and rescue assistance for people who are lost out of doors. Members assist with initial first response, search management, road and search containment, man tracking, communications, and other ground search teams. Volunteers specifically provide assistance to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and other official agencies in charge of search and rescue missions throughout Oregon.

MPSAR is more than a search and rescue group. We regularly assist the Benton County Sheriff’s office with emergency preparedness demonstrations and community emergencies, as well as assisting the Red Cross in damage assessments after storms and floods. The volunteer group also provides transportation to health professionals, patients, and human services organizations during inclement weather.
